White Noise is a postmodernist novel written by Don DeLillo in the 1980's. It is told by the main character, Jack Gladney, a professor of Hitler studies at a school called "The College On The Hill". Jack and his wife have a terrible fear of death, but a new drug called Dylar may be able to help that. The major theme explored is the inherent fear of death that dwells within each and every one of us.
